Grade Five Scales

Use the media player on this page to play your scales along with me!

Grade five introduces the Diminished 7th Arpeggio.

For the first time, you are also expected to learn your fingers only scales using both tirando (free strokes) and apoyando strokes (rest strokes).

The double stop scales will require some thought. Take particular care with your fingering and try breaking these scales into much smaller segments to help you get used to the finger changes.
