Reading Music - B, The Second String

We will learn the notes B, C and D on the second string. The fingering is the same as the first string:

B is open

C is in the first fret and is played with the first finger

D is in the third fret and is played with the fourth finger

As with the first string, hover your fingers over the notes and do not let your fingers pull too far away from the strings.

The exercises below concentrate on the second string to give you plenty of practice before adding these notes to your first string notes. You will then be able to read confidently on both strings.
